online vegetarian communities
Vegetarian Resource
Group
Ummm, they gots a whole lot of stuff here.
Vegsource
A fairly large vegetarian portal.

vegetarian reference & info sites
Meatstinks.com
A PETA site. We don't always agree with PETA's methods, but the
message is a good one.

vegetarian food products
Light Life
Vegetarian meat substitutes such as hot dogs, deli slices,
etc... They allow Gavin to have his after-Thanksgiving-dinner
turkey sammiches while keeping his conscious clear.
Garden
Burger
The Coca-Cola of veggie burgers.
Morningstar
Farms
Bought by Kellogg's a year or so ago. Happily the big corporation
saw the vegetarian market as a viable one and has not only kept
the brand around, but added to the product line. They make a variety
of fun meatless foods, our favorites including the corn dogs,
and "Chik Nuggets".
Boca Burger
More veggie burgers and stuff. Man are those breakfast patties
goooood!
Turtle Island
Foods
The home of "Tofurkey". Ugly site, but informative.

vegetarian restaurants
Greens
Restaurant, San Francisco
The best of the best. Absolutely amazing. Great view of the Golden
Gate. Elegant. Completely vegetarian. We have only been twice,
but dream of it often.
Millenium
Restaurant, San Francisco
We just went for the first time in August of 2000 (at Gavin's
dad's suggestion no less). Just about neck-and-neck with Green's.
a little quieter & cozier but no view. The only downside was
walking through the Tenderloin district to get to it. Take a cab.
WaterCourse,
Denver
All vegetarian, all Denver! Can I get a WooHoo!? Our favorite
breakfast place (until the first Krispy Kreme opens in 2001).
Robin puts a little of their gravy on anything. Their web site
is in a state of disrepair, so here is a link
to a review.
Kowloon
Vegetarian Restaurant, San Francisco (Chinatown)
We've never gotten a smile out of the wait staff, but holy free-range
cow is that Thousand Layer Tofu Crisp tasty.
